I have a Thumb5 BO that I am seriously considering on selling. I am not as in love with the feel of the neck anymore (but the tone is still incredible). Anyhow, it's a 1998 with a Just A Nut II. It's completely stock and I have babied it like it was my first born child.

So, it's got a three piece bolt-on neck and the body is a two piece. I've had the owners manual since I bought the bass, but it doesn't say which woods are used where! What are the two woods on the neck? And what is the body?

Also, the strings have made some marks on the pickups from slapping, would that effect the pricing?

Sorry, I usually keep my basses forever but this one just isn't helping my writing inspirations anymore!

Hmmm...my guess is that it has an ovangkol body, wenge fingerboard, and either a ovangkol/wenge neck or ovangkol/bubinga neck. But, I could be way off.

It's really hard trying to figure out a price. There are several on ebay with Buy It Now's of 13,000 to 15,000.

I'm thinking more like 900.

When I was looking to buy my Warwick I looked into the used market. I don't remember them being as expensive used. And I can't believe the market has changed that much.

What I was trying to say is that I don't think that a used Warwick Thumb5 should be as much as they were new.

Unfortunately, I am one of those types of people who care as much for the buyer as I do for myself. And I wouldn't want to rip somebody off just because some jerks are doing it on ebay. That being said, of course, I don't want myself to get ripped off either.

Maybe I should rephrase previous statement to: It is hard trying to figure out a fair price.
