Morgan MP200 all-tube amp = mmm?

I just scored on of these from a terrific TB'er. I wanted to address the extended low end claims. It's true - scarily true! I can't believe the lows this amp produces. Speaker-killing, gut-loosening lows. The Focus knob acts partly as a high-pass filter, which is helpful. I also tried Fdeck's HPF with the Morgan, and it is really helpful taming the lows. If you play reggae or dub, consider this amp.

Beyond the low end, the MP200 is a great sounding amplifier. Very responsive and versatile.

i think joe stopped making the mp200 , he doesn't offer it on his web site anymore , i think mine was the last one he built

I looked for it on the site after you posted a pic in the Bergantino thread and couldn't find it. But if you search for Morgan MP 200 a link comes up.

I am also the happy owner of one of Joe's mp200's. Several years of trouble free service and great tones.

My understanding is that Joe has discontinued making the mp200 unfortunately.
However the good news is that he has stated on some other forums his intent to make a new design bass amp in the near future.

Zombie thread, but it always amazes me that people have no problem saying that an SVT puts out 300 watts, but when you claim that a quad of KT88s puts out 200 watts or a pair can put out 100 watts people start getting skeptical. I guess Ampeg uses different electrons than anyone else.
