Without a doubt, the "song" Boom Boom Pow by the Black Eyed Peas. Seriously, who writes these lyrics?
Also, "Single Ladies" by Beyonce. The backing track sounds like a damn construction yard.

Almost forgot Beastie Boys Fight for your right to party. Stupid song 20 years ago and they still play that stupid song today. Unbelievable.

Never before in my life have I been so truly infuriated by a song. I've had songs that I disliked, and songs that have mildly annoyed me in the past. But this... this song resides on a different plane of hatred. I hate this song down to my very core.

What's funny is that even the Beastie Boys hate that song. I don't think they've played it live in the last 20 years. Sort of like R.E.M. with "Shiny Happy People" which is another awful song.
I'm not sure why I looked that up - ugh. That's pretty bad, at least what I heard. I suppose that's why I don't have much of a list of hated songs. Crap like that is just out of my sphere of listening for the most part.
That said, I did get this song emailed to me which I think is even worse and possibly the worst cover ever. The music and vocals are awful enough, the lyric change is worse and as bass players I think we all agree on what the worst part of it is.

My vote goes to this one, all though I must admit Bill's fine example of Japanese pop stylings may be hard to top.

I'd also nominate anything by Coldplay, I've been playing a lot of Coldplay lately with great reluctance. Can any one create more monotonous music? I doubt it. But they'll sure try on their next release.

The most annoying song ever is She Drives Me Crazy by the Fine Young Cannibals
That song was impossible to avoid in 1989. It was every ******* where! That snare drum hit that sounded like a balloon popping was the worst part.
