I always thought my old F was rather complicated. It had the original Pe-Eq preamp and an Alembic filter. Each with their own volume an it could be run in mono, split mono or stereo.

Some of these things with about 8 billion knobs on them are doing my head in: I still think that in some ways my ideal setup is the P with its volume and tone and that's it. I'm still trying to find my way around my GB (thanks Zenbass) with its meagre 5 knobs and one slightly mysterious switch nearly a year on. Anything more and I don't think I'd be able to find the time to play the thing in between trying to find the ideal setup (think one note played in infinite different ways!)

i think 5 nobs is about right, volume, pups and 3 band eq.
4 band might be nice though, hmmm now were can i mysteriously enough cash for a new bass...
