I voted 5 string vs 4 string. It gets ugly sometimes...especially from the 5 stringers. Why so defensive? Why trash somebody because they want a BEAD bass or tune down to D?

Just think about whats going on in the world today while we spend our day worrying about, should I use Flats or Rounds? That's why I live in the Bass humor section.

I read recently (on the internet of course) that overuse of Rounds can cause premature ej*****tion.

I thought it was apparent by now that all problems on TB can be solved by buying another bass and firing the drummer

Holy moley, OP. I voted "5vs4" but it wouldn't have made a flicker in my eyelids if I'd seen an option for "What on Earth have you bought more than one bass for? I shall now quote you Proverbs 6:32-35 thus

Others have mentioned it too: Class-D amplifiers vs. Class A/B (solid state) amps. Some people seem to think despite specs to the contrary, that class-D bass amps are somehow not as powerful or are 'slower' to respond, blah blah blah...
