Most Elegant Bass That You've Seen?

The most elegant bass ever built, for me, is a jazz. Fender is elegance.

Still collecting some ideas for a custom bass and was wondering what some of you consider to be the most beautiful, or some of the most beautiful basses that you've ever seen. This is purely subjective, so anything goes in my book. Share anything that comes to mind! :)

What got me thinking about this was this Elrick bass (there are actually two out there like the one below at the moment) which, totally blew me away. Such beautiful inlay work had me stepping back to think about what I want my bass to look like in the future.

After looking at all these picture, I guess my black PB with a tort doesn’t qualify....

They're beautiful in their own way :)
I don't see the P-bass as 'elegant' just because of how utilitarian/pragmatic it is. Not to say that is a bad thing.

Well, I guess the cats out of the bag. When it comes to gear, I am very pragmatic to the point that I’m still playing a rig that weighs more than a hundred pounds...and a black PB with a tort...LOL!!!

Elegant is beauty through simplicity. Most of the examples here do not fit that criteria. Are they attractive? Depends on your tastes. Are they elegant? Nope.

Probably an old single pickup bass (thinking a single coil P bass) would be the most appropriate for this.
