Some truly beautiful basses that are visually very impressive. Made me wonder quite what elegant meant though, so I looked it up:

• dignified grace in appearance, movement, or behaviour
• good taste in design, style, arrangement, etc.
• something elegant; a refinement

I therefore propose my SEI 9 string, the design of which I worked hard on to make it both functional & look right (ERBs can easily look overly large or have huge out of proportion necks). See what you think:

I couldn't agree more....that Sei is one of the more elegant looking basses I've ever seen. The only thing that would have put it over the top would be a fully wooden pickup cover instead of the veneer. The black under the veneer is distracting.....such a small thing though. That is a very beautiful instrument indeed.

That Sei definitely represents the embodiment of 'elegant' as it applies to the electric bass. Magnificent!
