Bryan316 - I am right with you. Your ears will tell you what sounds good. The Eden 410XLT, not the lowest responding cab, pumps out enough low end for me and I can hear myself very well with two tube amp guitards, and a loud drummer. Plus, I have a five string - pumping out tons of oomph in the 30-60hz range is fun to do, but it ultimately easts every ounce of power I have in my rig.
I say - efficiency is probably the most important spec when looking at speakers. Not always the low end content. A loud cab can take less wattage (save money on a lower wattage head) and make you loud (can save more money by only using one cab in the band setting instead of two) We probably would all cry if we need how loud our cabs were at 30-50hz range. That's why we have PA systems with dual
18's and tons of power to spare.
