Play that Funky music-Wild Cherry not quite sure if the bass starts that one butif it does there ya go.
Smoke on the Water-Deep Purple also a maybe.

Most of the songs listed so far are actually guitar, or if they feature bass, it's bass AND guitar or bass AND drums.
The most recognizable song that starts with bass and only bass probably IS "For The Love Of Money" by the Ojays, featuring a young Anthony Jackson (later, the creator of the 6 string contrabass guitar) playing the theme that would itself later go on to serve as the intro for Trump's NBC hit, "Apprentice".
What title would I personally love to add to this thread?

BTW, the "Smoke on the Water" riff that a lot of people like to play on bass is not played on bass in that song. That's Richie Blackmore playing guitar. Roger Glover comes in a little later on bass with a walk up and then straight 8ths on the root for the intro. He never plays the famous "bassline".
