Why go through all that work and add a crap bridge.

I believe he machines them himself from brass. What exactly makes it "crap"?

I would guess it is a piezo bridge since there are no pickups. Probably sounds pretty acoustic-ish (is that a word?).

The pickups are under the top, custom made for this bass. 2 hb's, no piezo.

This is the build thread. Say whatever you like, the guy is incredibly talented.

it will not intonate for crap, if you are going to hang it on a wall then it doesn’t matter
People have been making fretted, stringed instruments for centuries with non-adjustable bridges that have perfectly fine intonation. Knowing his attention to detail, and it being a custom build costing what it does, he likely carved the bridge to be intonated with the buyers string gauges of choice.
