Somebody on TB bought it a few years ago and still has it, I think. I remember a few sightings at the same shop for a couple of years and then somebody finally bought it.
The owner is @BishopHastur, and he sent the bass to @LowEndLobster a few months ago, to do a video:

l just love that the folklore of Mothman continues to grow.
So @LowEndLobster played the mothman, became enlightened, uncovered the great Gretsch humbucking/single coil conspiracy, and now everyone who gets a rebate just unknowingly sold their souls to the mothman for a hundred bucks…

It was at Action Music in Falls Church, VA for a couple of years before going on its latest adventures. I live in the area but never knew it was there until it was already gone. Probably for the best.

I actually played it when it was at Action Music in Falls Church and was seriously thinking about buying it at one point, but, alas, for me it now resides on (the bottom of) the list of "the ones that got away".
