Mp3 player showdown!

I mean that the prominent complaint heard about iRiver products is that the company rarely to never updates their firmware to take care of bugs or known issues.

However, looking over at their site it looks like they may have finally listened to all the complaints because they've released a lot of updates this year. It may no longer be an issue, which makes the iRiver more attractive IMO if that's the case.

My friend uses his cell phone as his MP3 player. He bought a 256mb chip so he can store lots of songs on it. I don't know how this goes about draining battery out of the phone. I wouldn't do this if it were to drain the phone battery. And I do think that the most cost efficient, and probably the best MP3 player is the Ipod.
