Man sometimes i wish i lived in the states just so i could see the music and buy cheap basses. but then i walk to the beach for a surf and realise life is perfect:cool:

Is princes club exclusive? i imagine it would be hard to get in

What are you talking about? :eyebrow: You've got great surf in Australia. Plus whenever it gets too crowded, you can always drive out of town and surf empty points. :eek: Here in California when it get crowded we can drive to Mexico to surf crowded spots, :scowl: and then hit up for 40 dollar gringo tax by the Federales on the way home. :mad: OR we could fly to Hawaii to surf crowded spots.:eyebrow: OR pay 3k to chart a boat in the Indian Ocean or South Pacific that you can get to in Australia for a third of the cost. :rollno: SAY IT WITH ME -

Larry Graham was amazing last night! The sound was top notch and I could hear everything. He is such a gentleman, as well. Stood 10feet in front of him throughout.
At one point he was using the effects and it was just him and his drummer and they filled the sonic spectrum beautifully - it was an amazing, sweeping fuzz and phase tone that I have never heard before. Magical evening and Prince sat in with them, and get this.. it was free!
Kudos to the master of the slap bass.

I know this is an old thread. Is his bass active? Is he still using the 4 coil Barts? I'm having a custom jazz bass built and I'm looking to have the same electronics Larry has in his bass.

I owned one of those models for a while, in burgundy mist. It was a great, well-made jazz bass, had plenty of lows, and not a Warmoth part on it. Moon makes all their own parts though they will use others' if requested. Today I own a Moon JB-5, the only 5 I need. Fantastic instruments of a quality that no one can deny. Communication with them has apparently been a challenge, and I'm not aware of any current US distribution.
