Thanks.I wish you very well with your surgery. I had a hernia surgery back in 2003 from lifting my bass cabinet. I ended up with a long incision and 14 staples. My hernia was really bad. After your surgery, do not overdo anything with lifting things. It will take a while to recover and possibly irritate you for months depending how severe the surgery is. If it can be done laparoscopically, it will be better.![]()
They tell me I actually have hernias on both sides (I can only feel one) and we're fixing them both with one arthro/lapro scopic event. I'm supposed to have a couple of incision holes under my naval and nothing near the actual issues. They tell me to expect a month of limited physical activity after the surgery.
I've already been limiting my lifts to about 30 lbs, and have my gear set up so that no one thing is more than 26. I think I'll be OK, just a bit slower than usual due to being very careful with every lift and not being able to carry multiple things at once..
