So I took the plunge and wanted to know what you guys think about a macassar top bass? I love it, and I will be picking it up on Thursday. So no pics until tomorrow. But... Someone has to have heard a bass like this. I believe it is a macassar top, with maple body, and ash fingerboard. It is remarkably warm, and super responsive. I just never thought a macassar ebony top on a bass would be as warm as it is... What are your thoughts? Again... I'll post pics as soon as I pick it up.
