mtd kz6

Does anyone know if there are any plans to make a mtd kz6? I love the tone of the kz5 but I'm not a 5 string person. If there rent any plans for it how could I get that tone from say a k6? (High sizzle, nice growl) thanks.

Easist way is to upgrade the preamp and pickups.

Start with a USA Bartolini 3-band or an Aggie 3-band pre. That will be a great first step.

If you want to go to the next level, try some Nordstrand pickups -- they have several flavors of 6-string pups.

If you get a nice used Z6 the total cost of the bass and the upgrades would be less than the price of a new KZ.
