Hi I have a Ampeg BA 112 amp can I plug a multi effects pedal into it it has a footswitch input

Yes, you can use an effects pedal with any amp. The footswitch jack on your amp is not where you want to plug it in though.

You'll need two cables. Connect the bass to the input of the MFX pedal then connect the output on the MFX to the input on your amp.

Yes. They're made for that. You just have to pay attention to the output level of the pedal to make sure it's in a reasonable instrument input range - start at zero and turn it up until it's about as loud as an instrument plugged straight in.

That is NOT for an effects pedal, but you can use the effects pedal between your bass and the BA 112. That is how they are supposed to be used.

That is for toggling your scrambler control on/off. You need the footswitch
