I was listening to some p bass recordings earlier, and thinking, could (hypothetically) a single coil p pickup (maybe a noiseless) and a standard split coil set be fit into a soapbar style casing?
I know the positioning would be a bit off, but could the split coils bobbins be made shorter?
I was thinking of putting it under a standard 51 style pickup cover. Anything wrong with this idea?
