Multi-tasking

Today is an awesome day for me. Today I became a grandfather! I’ve been on pins and needles since yesterday, anxiously awaiting every text message update that might bring news and let me know how things are going.

Last night, I get a text from my son-in-law, who is also a bass player (and yes, despite that, I gave my blessing to the marriage ). My fingers fumbled to unlock the phone… reading the message… and… and… what? A UPS tracking number?!? The baby is coming by UPS? (No wonder it’s late!) It seems that in the middle of everything, he found time to buy an Ibanez Mikro from Sweetwater and arranged to have it delivered to my address so that I can bring it when I come to visit the baby.

I’m so proud!

My granddaughter arrived this afternoon (before the bass). Everyone is happy and healthy.
