Multiple fx through fx loop

I'm sure this has been covered many times but I find myself confused at some of the answers.

What I have now, amped set 7 head sansamp rbi and a compressor/gate.
I currently have the compressor ran into the fx loop of the head. Now, how should I go about running the sansamp through the chain? My knowledge of fx is very limited but got an awesome deal on the sansamp so figured why it give it a try. I'm also up for using the sansamp in place of the heads preamp but would still like to know how to run it through the fx loop.

Comp gate is a rack unit or a pedal?

The tech21 website has pdf manual for free download. TB rep tech21nyc has made many comprehensive posts on hookup options.

I had one. Traded for deluxe pedal version.

Depending on what level your fx loop is running on you might engage the back panel 20dB pad and run it in series with the comp/limiter.

Or chuck the comp limiter in the sansamp fx loop and go bass to rbi, rbi sansamp to Ampeg fx return to leave out the Ampeg pre.

Sorry yeah everything is rack mount. I know I could do that to bypass the preamp on the ampeg, but what about running them without bypassing it? Would love to see what I can do with the tone

....or operate the rbi at lower output level, back into the amp input, as if it was an active bass. It's been awhile but iirc there is a pad on the output.
