Double Bass multiple pickups

Just thought i'd share..

Here are some pics of my 'ready for anything' pickup setup.

In optimal conditions or with FOH - Dpa4099
stoopid loud - K&K bassmax ( which is an amazing, underrated pu. )
anything in between - Realist

Only the realist is a permanent mount, the Dpa & the Bassmax are easily removed.

Anyone else use a similar setup?

In some way, yes.

ATM-35 (similar to DPA4099, using the same holder and position)
sometimes Shadow SH-950 (two element bridge wing pickup),
Shadow SH-965NFX-B (bridge foot pickup, similar to Realist, but with foils under both legs and impedance buffer)
and Full Circle.

I've got the poor man's pickups going on with a Six Rounds Double Barrel and a Radio Shack clip-on in the f-hole. I've got an fdeck and GEB-7 for the piezo and it works well enough for the total system costing me under $200. I normally only use the piezo because the RS has a resonance on D and I've only got one EQ pedal.

I've since taped the cables above and below the battery box rather than over it. Funny thing is, I still rarely plug in.
