Music dreams?

Do dreams ever mean anything to you? Or are they just random stuff?

Mine aren't always random. I have a repeating dream that's extremely vivid and almost episodic. It has a setting (living in a slightly strange unnamed large city) and it kinda builds on previous dreams. It has a cast of sorts, and it's so detailed I could draw a map - with street names - for a fairly large portion of it. And also name some of it's famous buildings and landmarks. There's no special plot however. Just routine days. Basically, I just live there. I began having installments of it when I was just a kid. Kinda like Little Nemo.

It's also one of what's come to be called "lucid dreams." I know when I'm having it. I have a fair amount of control over what I do in it. And I'll remember all of it in great detail when I wake up.

Got a friend who's really into mystical stuff. She maintains it's not a dream at all. It's a link to a previous or future life I've lived or am living.

I don't know about that. To my mind it's just "That Bloody Weird Dream" I keep having. I also do some writing, and I'm really into plot and structure. And also a very analytical book reader and movie watcher. So I think that has a lot more to do with it than some mystical tachyon beam that's linking me to mutiple realities or multiple existences within the same reality but on different timelines.

I personally don't think dreams mean anything in an objective sense. Or if somebody's dreams actually do mean something (or are portents), they sure aren't any of mine.

Several times had a nightmare. I'm on stage with guitar in my hands and have to play with one of my fav bands in front of a huge crowd. Everyone is looking at me. And...
I just don't know how to play any of their songs!

I actually have a recurring dream. I am on tour with a band and we have a stop in Raleigh at the amphitheater (the closest major venue to where I live and a place where I have seen dozens of concerts). Instead of doing one show, we do two. The first night is a standard issue band show (Friday night). The second show (Saturday night) is called a "Family Reunion" show and all of the guys who have played in bands with me over thirty some odd years get up and play with us. It is broadcast on several local TV stations.
Ahah very nice ... I'd like to join the band!
