Music Man pickup under G&L MFD Cover?

Nevermind the reasons why you might want to, can anyone confirm if a standard MusicMan pickup would fit under the pickup cover of a G&L MFD pickup? Standard four string.

I'm just not sure if the pole pieces of an MM pickup would be too big or not quite in the right spot to line up under the MFD cover.

The covers are different sizes for sure. I can't say for sure about the coils if you were to remove them, but the cover size suggests they wouldn't be compatible as the MM pickup is about 1/3" wider (so likely the coils are wider as well).
