Music Man SUB Value

I have an opportunity to buy a MM Sub bass in good condition, minor finish nicks and a broken knob. The asking price is $300. Any opinions on whether that is a good deal? I simply don't have any idea what these go for right now.

Thanks!

Yup, just like everyone said..go for it! The SUB is an amazing bass if you don't mind the pickguard (easily replaceable) or the paint (on the bright side it wont ever wear really). Besides those two and the slightly cheaper woods, its pretty much a stingray.

Jump on it. That's a fantastic price. The best price I've ever seen for them was $450.
I (along with several others here) bagged one for $329.99, new, at GC when the first colors were discontinued. MSRP was $999.99.

Someone here living in Arizona got one for $299.99 at GC during the same blowout.

Objectively good basses, but quite heavy and in calculatedly ugly colors. Black's about the best you can hope for. :hmm:

Not ugly, but I guess that's all opinion.

Unfortunately I missed the GC blowout sales when they were discontinued. I have only seen them on eBay and such places for really crazy prices.

I had a burgandy red SUB that was a pretty nice color in person, though the "stucco" finish left a lot lot be desired. I also had a black one. The finish was indestructable, though took a lot of getting used to.
