Music Technology Forums?

Well, there are forums centered around the software. For instance, Ableton has a big forum. Search's often reveal answers you're looking for. However, the response time on some of these are not nearly as quick as TB. I'm sure there's a forum for Logic, and GarageBand (Apple) etc. I've found that the people lurking in our own Recording Gear section are very well informed and have a quicker response time than a lot of these software forums funny enough.

There is a lot of information regarding midi and sequencing if you look up .mod format software. MOD type files at one point could have been the future past general midi, but it's a bit complex to arrange. ModPlug and XMplayer were 2 of the larger programs, and each had their own software for playback and creation. There should be vast resources regarding midi, samples, banks, and arrangement on forums dedicated to that type of audio. But a lot of the information you find should be general enough that it can apply to other music formats as well.

Tweakheadz is a pretty good "get in a drive" type guide/forum that covers a lot of areas and will help you make music, instead of just bogging you down with gobs and gobs of reading material. Product ads can get pretty heavy though, just have to spend some time there and pick out the good stuff.
