I saw classical violinist Eugene Fodor when he was in his early 20s. I was about 14 at the time. He was playing with the Memphis Symphony Orchestra and what he could do with a violin absolutely stunned me. Speechless. I cannot even remember what compositions he played, but I remember to this day how impressed I was....

Also, whenever I hear the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sing Handel's "Hallelujah Chorus" from The Messiah on a good system, I get goose bumps.

Also, hearing Boston's More Than a Feeling and You Really Got Me by EVH for the first time was stunning. Those of you who are younger probably cannot appreciate fully how revolutionary Boston's tone was at that time (1976). And EVH opened an entirely new box of cookies for me. Heck, his nasty fills on "Got Me" are wonderful; his solo on Beat It is still one of my all-time favorites. There are other great ones, but none better.
