If there are pairings I forget, I can't remember because I'm busy forgetting. I guess sometimes I forget that Tony Choy was the first bassist to record with Cynic.

I'm sure many people forget that silly person Richard Christy was excellent drumming for Death and Control Denied.

Most people forget that Tony Williams's last album was the Arcana album "Arc of the Testimony" with Bill Laswell, Buckethead, and Pharoah Sanders. The result of this recipe is amazing...

I never realized Christy was on Stern until a friend mentioned it. And don't forget Christy was also in Iced Earth, one of my all time faves!

I have to hear that one.
Did you know that Miles Davis and John Lee Hooker recorded a sound track for a movie called "The Hot Spot." I never saw
the movie but the soundtrack was amazing. It also featured Taj Mahal, and Roy Rogers.
It sounds so great when Miles blows some cool horn over John Lee's churning overdriven guitar. There is a quote from Miles about John Lee on the notes. He says something like "The man is up to his ears in mud."

I'm guessing that quite a few people remember that Dave Navarro had a stint with the Red Hot Chili Peppers and was on their "One Hot Minute" album. Whether or not he is considered a "notable musician" or if that constitutes a "forgettable tenure" I'm not sure.

I was aware that Flea and Anthony Kiedis were the only original members, that Chad Smith came along around Mother's Milk and has been with them ever since, but I figured they were on guitarist number 4ish, not 8. Three of them were never on studio albums, and Jack Sherman was only on their debut album, so it's understandable that they were easy to forget...

Speaking of Neil Young, and I actually consider myself a huge fan (hence, my screen name). But considering the enormity and depth he has had as a solo artist over the past 50 years, and his stint with CSNY, I ALWAYS somehow forget he was in Buffalo Springfield. Yes, and the Myna Birds too!
