Hey, I know I'm probably a few basses late (I've had quite a few), but I currently have these 2:

Might I join the club and get a number? :hyper:

I feel the need to post again! My band was a top 4 finalist for the Ernie ball battle for warped tour this year and as one of the prizes they gave us all custom instruments FOR FREE !! :0!!!! so I had some fun! I went with a Stingray5 in pacific blueburst, Birdseye maple neck, rosewood board, matching headstock and a piezo!!! This is my beauty! It's currently in the shop getting Luminlays (in blue) and 2 bass clef heart inlays on the 12th fretImageUploadedByTalkBass1393284094.804271.jpg

I once read about the origin of this particular bass.
One day both a panther and a leopard escaped from the zoo and made their way into the EB plant. Luck would have it that a Wizard just happened to be on a tour of the plant that day as well. Just as both the wild animals found the tour group and were about to maul them all, the wizard pulled a gold Louis Johnson record from the wall and winged it at the two cats, slicing them both in half. When the dust settled this bass was lying on the floor glowing gold with wisps of smoke coming off the neck.

So do you have to re-up every time a new thread starts? I know my number will still be the same. Here are my Stingrays.

The first is my 2010 Stingray 4 Classic that is the Breast Cancer Awareness Bass made for me after my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer. It is now used to help raise funds and awareness for breast cancer research. The next is my 2009 Stingray 4H that I bought new last year.

That Breast Cancer Awareness Bass is awesome! My wife just finished her last chemo treatment last week. I'm commissioning a bass from Rod at Regenerate Guitar Works. Haven't worked out the final spec yet, but I REALLY love how you've done this Stingray.

Hey all. I have a question for all you Stingray experts. Today I was cleaning up my HS 5, and I took the pick guard off. I was shocked to see a third pick up under there. I assume this is the "Phantom coil". Is this a fully functioning pick up? Has anyone experimented with bringing it forward?
