I have owned three Musicman 4s, all black. I love em. First one got stolen, I (stupidly) sold the second... I then bought a Sterling, after trying one and realising, hey, this feels even BETTER than a Ray. For me, anyway.
I have fortunately had opportunity to play (a borrowed) pre-Ernie Ball Stingray. Awesome, but like carting around a tree.

I've got 2005 EBMM Single H SR4 Natural body, all maple neck, black pickguard. I like this JazzBass '75 color theme. Sorry no pictures.
Right now i think where to buy 1.5mm perforated aluminium, to create own pickguard. Color aluminium black.

Having just purchased the Stingray last Friday... went to the store today to get a strap. Noticed something that wasn't there before... a used Bongo Stealth 5. A few dings, but had brand new strings on it, a fresh setup and worked great. Price was $699 (CDN). Couldn't resist. Traded in the Stingray. I wasn't going to get a 5er, but at that price difference over the new stingray I still walked out with a Boss TU-2 tuner, some new strings, a gig bag and left round $500 store credit sitting there. I'll use that to buy some pedals once I decide what I want.
The kid who traded the bongo in over the weekend did it to get rent money. I wish I was there when he came in... I would have paid him cash, more than what the store offered on trade.
