MXR Bass comp vs the digital compressor in TC Plethora?

Consolidating a bunch of analog pedals down to a TC Plethora. Anyone have any opinion on the DSP compressor, vs the MXR Bass Compressor pedal?

Would likely run it MXR -> preamp with the Plethora in the preamp's FX loop, but I think I could set the Plethora up to do comp first, using the four-cable method.

You’ll likely have to use the TonePrint editor with the hyper gravity to get it set up to your liking, since the prints available for it are almost exclusively guitar-oriented.

Oh, absolutely. I was just wondering if anyone had any opinion on the quality of digital compression vs. an analog pedal. My instinct is to keep the analog pedal as a way to squash peaks before hitting the A/D converters, but I'd be open to going digital if the quality is comparable.
