MXR Bass Dirt Pedals

Thanks, gents. Always wanted a Fuzzrocious, anyways! Guess I haven't seen anyone compare both. Would you say Ryan makes "the" Rat? It's about the only big name dirt I don't have a good version of (I have muff, OCD, Tubescreamer variants/clones etc.) for bass. The Rat I have is a great little Eno, but it's terrible on bass. Great for guitar!

If you can get past the handpainted enclosures, this guy is making the best bass RAT out there by far. Plus it has a mid-scoop switch that takes it way past any RAT I've tried on bass. So mean and evil sounding. Got mine the other day and I cannot stop playing it. Perfect for metal, rock and dub/reggae.

Regarding MXR, i'm surprised no one has mentioned the Sub Machine and the 78 Badass Distortion. On it's own the 78 is probably the best of their dirts, even for bass, but the slight low end loss makes it a perfect candidate for a clean blend. I sold mine off a while back to purchase some new stuff, but man was that a nice pedal. The Sub Machine seems like a very nicely implemented pedal for sure.

I know it gets a bad rap on TB but the MXR Blowtorch seems like what I'm looking for in a distortion/fuzz pedal. I'm looking for more of that Muse type sound.
