MXR Deep Phase

The guy uses an apparently pretty new pedal by MXR called the Deep Phase. And I think I love it.
I'm not funk guy and have never considered trying a phaser before, but this has certainly piqued my interest.

So I was wondering; do anyone have experience with the Deep Phase?

Yeah, that's what I've been reading as well, however it sounds a bit more clear to me. Small stone sounds a little more space/wah type thing to me, if that makes sense.
But it could just be the demo's, you never know with YouTube, so that's why I was hoping to find someone with experience with the Deep Phase, or even both the Deep Phase and the Small Stone.

Ok, but if I'm not mistaken, there have been smaller versions of the Small Stone by EHX right?

I hadn't heard about that. Was this something in the past or is this still an issue?

It’s a long term issue with EHX.

Saw this One at Sweetwater today. Man it’s tiny. Didn’t try it out but it sounds good on that clip. I have my phaser needs met with the explorer, which is totally overkill but nothing sounds as good to me. I’ll probably stop by Sweetwater again this week and I’ll try and check it out for you.

My 2 cents. I really wanted to love this thing. I really like the MXR Phase 95, but I always wanted more stages (ideally 6). Grabbed this one hoping it would be the ticket, unfortunately the wave-shape drives me crazy. It has a very pronounced bump in the lower register making it feel wobbly and not smooth. Compared to the 95/90 wave-shape which turns around evenly and smoothly. So if you like phasers with a bump on the end of the cycle, this thing is great. If you are like me and don't like to hear/feel the turn around point, this one might not be for you.

Hmmm. He clearly has solid technique but then seems to sell this like you can sound like the O'Jays by just stepping on a pedal. I'm sure the pedal is great, but I feel like the pitch is not entirely honest.

I think he says all you need to say.
The need to work on any new material - including techniques - should go without having to be spelt out. No?

For me ,the Pbf which I already have and use,gets as close as I need to get to this kind of sound , at the moment.
No need to buy new stuff for now.

Assuming you're talking about the Spaceman Explorer, it seems nice but as you said, for me it'd be overkill and would just give me option paralysis.

Thanks for your input. Going of the likes it seems people agree with that. Since I have no experience with phasers I have no idea whether it would be bad thing for me or not, but it's definitely something to listen for if I do decide to get one.
