MXR M84 Bass Fuzz Deluxe...

Are you near a Guitar Center or any other large music retailer? You can probably go there and try it out before you buy it.
I got one too and its awesome. Great tone, sits well in the mix. But unfortunately I'm selling mine in the classifieds :-(
Want to chime in for anyone else researching this pedal...used mine for the first time this weekend with a live band, and I LOVE this pedal. It does a great job of adding fuzz on top of your existing tone without taking anything at all away, and is very easy to set it so it's not making your volume spike when switching it on. There's a review online that says it sounds like a split signal, and I don't disagree. It's replacing the beloved IE Oxide on my board for now.
I am relatively new to individual pedals, I got a Boss ME10, and use it occasionally, I use a Sansamp DI all the time now, to help get some 'presence', but I wanted something to get me some of that 70's heavy sound so I got the Bass Fuzz Deluxe.
You don't need alot of fuzz with this pedal, and the separate dry/wet controls....yep, a real winner, I can do things with it I couldn't do with my ME10.
I am still tweaking around with it but I found I can get my jazz with flats to get that Black Keys sound through my Hartke amp no problem, mostly dry, with a smidgeon of fuzz and my EQ set to roll off my highs A LOT. My amp has a compressor in it and I push that up a bit too.
And pleasantly surprised, that pretty works for Deep Purple or even Sabbath really well.
So far, very cool, the pedal does seem sensitive to the quality of the AC power, so run it off the battery first and see how your AC system effects it.....is that normal??

I love the tones I can get from this pedal.
I've never really been a fuzz fan, but this one does it for me.
I've used it to thicken things out in a church mix, muse ish tones, and big sabbath sounds

I have one of these coming in the mail, after reading the reviews and hearing the clips I am really looking forward to it. And I have read several times that it is real good for Sabbath, doomish tones. The level of control looks to be much better than the BBM.
My favourite fuzz. And it's interesting to note that, from what I've seen, everyone who's tried one seems to think it's great; the only negative comments appear to be coming from those whose entire experience of the pedal is based on an unrepesentative Youtube demo rather than real life!
Well, I got this in last night and it only took a few minutes to realize my BBM was retired. Pure fuzzy saturation ! Fed it into a SA BEF for a filtery doomy wah... sounded great (IMO 
). MXR really hit it out of the park with this one.
Good price point, great sound and control. I know I'm in the honeymoon stage and still need more time to mess with settings / pedal combos ... and I'm sure there is better, boutique or other wise, but damn I'm happy .... for now

You guys should check out Ralph Cambell on eBay, someone referenced him to me on one of my other threads, anyways, I ended up purchasing a Wooly Mammoth clone he made.. guess how much... $70 the thing is built like a silver tank and sounds like a Wooly Mammoth, I think I've also seen a Russian Big Muff clone too.... anyways.. you should check him out
I got one right when they first shipped in February, loved it then, still love it now. But fuzz is so subjective, what might work for one person might not work for the next. I will echo the sentiment that it does not get lost at all in a live mix.
It's a nice pedal for sure...I think it's based on a Muff circuit. So I'm guessing the tone control is a little more tailored than the usual treble cut circuit. The blend option is nice too.
