More like 73%. And I EQ'd the REDDI for similar speaker rolloffs as the VT.

Er, how do you EQ a REDDI?

My REDDI only has one knob, to set signal level.

I hate when band members get all opinionated about bass and effects. It seems like guitarists and drummers have a preconceived notions about how the bass should sound.

With that being said it might be worth your while to record how it sounds in the mix and listen to it in full context. The thing I've noticed the most about bass and effects usage is that sometimes what sounds great alone just doesn't work when you add in everything else.

I could not agree more I have done some solo work and when I am not recording I can have my effect signals very dry and it sounds good but when I record it is taking over and it also happens vice versa

To be fair, a lot of bassists do, too. We get someone poking their head into the fx forum every so often to tell us about how bassists shouldn't need fx.
