Double Bass My Current Rig

Roma Ply bass
Carvin BX700 head
Eden 112
2x Hartke 112s
Shadow Rockabilly Pro system
Deuce Bridge
G30 Wireless
Innovation Rockabilly Reds strings
I think I've gone about as far as possible towards a good Rockabilly rig without dumping the amp and cabs for a bigger amp and a fearFull cab. It's sounding and playing great. The Hydrives are light, punchy, plenty of low end, great click. Plus they are switchable 4 or 8 ohms.

I was wondering the same thing. Tension wise, how do they compare to gut?

My rig will be the EA doubler and the new 1-12 cab they have. I'd like to keep the option of sometimes playing my electric open so I chose that. I've got the cab, just haven't ordered the head yet

The strings are not high tension at all say compared to a steel string. Never played gut that much so I can't really compare.
I'd describe them as firm but soft on the fingers. Nice fundamental.
I don't have a problem w feedback unless I stand the bass directly in front of the cabs. A bit to the side and I'm fine.
