Kewl design for body. Reminds me of a expensive brand whose name eludes me for the moment. Bet its heavy and very bright sounding though with the maple wings. Ahh, James thats the name, warrior. Lol.

Just thought I'd give you guys a quick update on the bass.

- It's REALLY heavy hahaha, but I'm getting used to it after lugging around an upright bass everywhere since October
- It sounds amazing, highs are really open and bass is seriously deep. I've gigged it a few times now and everyone always loves the sound!

Sorry mate to bring you down, but:

The E string at the final frets looks like it's coming off the fretboard... and it seems there is no finishing on the bass?

Your right about the E string. Probably never play there though. The bass looks amazing for a custom build. Nice Job!!

This. You will need to fret very carefully so as not to slip off the edge of the fretboard.

Your bridge is adjustable with a small allen wrench - move the string down so it isn't hanging so much.

yeah if you ever "bend" you'll slide the string off down there.........wont be good. Glad you had fun building it!! keep it up!!

Hi guys,

Bad angle on the photograph! The "E" string (which is in fact the B string), does not come off the edge of the fretboard!

The bass is finished naturally in Danish oil to give the smooth/non-sticky finish I wanted
