My dad cold clocked a robber.

Lots guys talk about carrying guns for "Dirty Harry" moments like this, but the truth is you don't really need them. My dad dropped a neighborhood bully about at the same age. One punch and the guy was on the ground. Don't mess with Texas or West Virginia either.

Maybe the guy was hungry and needed some money. He just went about it the wrong way, please usually helps, but since he forgot to say please and acted like a punk, good for him:cool:

So is you dad going to fight Chuck Norris now:D

BTW Dont anyone be surprised if that punk tries to sue Walmart for his pain and suffering.:rollno:

First of all, I am glad your dad was not seriously injured and secondly, I am proud of him.

My dad is a vietnam vet as well and I am glad it wasn't him, he carries a tricked out Colt 1911 .45 I gave him a few years back when my parents moved to Florida. He was a marksman in the Air Force and at 21 feet and can still rapid fire 8 shots within a 5" group. Oh, he is 72 years old.

Awesome but dangerous. He could have had a knife or gun and we could be reading a thread about someone being dead.

On the other hand, it's nice to read about happy endings and people fighting back.

Awesome story. Reminds me of something that happened while I was in college. A guy in the city where I was in college made the headlines for subduing a robber. The story went like this: The would be victim was a parapalegic. He was rolling in his chair down the sidewalk when a mid twenties guy stopped him and demanded his money, watch, ring, etc. The would be robber, obviously thought that the guy being in a wheelchair was an easy win. Well, little did the would be robber know that the guy in the chair was a Navy SEAL who had lost the use of his legs less than a year before in a car accident. However, since the loss of his legs he had been training dilligently in the upper body movements of wing chun kung fu. Long story short, the SEAL broke the would be robbers arm in three places and held him until the police arrived.
You just gotta love it when stuff like that happens. :hyper:
