As unfortunate as it is that they are needed at all, they are usually handled respectfully by TBers and are always well moderated for those instances when it is not. I guess we can pass this up to the mods if more people come forward with similar stories?

I also got ripped off by Manny. He claimed he was busy and made some sad story about how he has 4 kids and trying to put food on the table.
I feel so sorry for Barry but this place ripped me off and lied to me about my bass. When I came into the show to demand my bass back they then told me it was sold. They had my bass for 4 years while I was in europe and who knows when the actually sold it. AVOID this place!

What specifically happened? Can you share details? Did you ever get paid for the Bass that he sold at all!?

You might want to consider getting in touch with Dan Schiavetta, the attorney representing the five people suing over the same issue, as well as representing Barrie in his suit against Manny. Even if you got paid, it's background information. Message me if you want his info. (It's on all the case filings, too, if you want to look at those.)

Thanks all. I just emailed Daniel about this. Yes, I'd be happy to help the comunity in any way I can. My bass was only 8k, not 255k but this will show Manny was doing it more than just a few times.

The saddest part is that Barrie sold his family’s business and now they are ruining the reputation and legacy. I have a Kolstein Guarneri bass I bought in 2007. My experience was fine, and I’m sorry to hear what happened to this once great company. Every business has to have a profit margin, but they shouldn’t rip people off. Barrie is a good guy, and I still like my bass!
