My Faital 15pr400 build

I just finished building this cab and it sounds amazing!
The Faital is super articulate for 15"
I used 1/2 inch Baltic birch plywood finished in Dura-Tex
Dimensions are 24x20x15 two 4" ports tuned to 44hz

Fabbrica italiana altoparlanti.

Once you know fabbrica = "factory", and to segment alto+parlanti, the meaning should be clearer...

very nice indeed. I have an LDS built Faital 15PR400 loaded 2x15 that really nails the old school/paper cone JBL vibe - and also brings some nicely updated specs too. The 2x15 is very nice, but after using it for 6 months, I am starting to feel like it is really too much cab for what I use it for (roots/alt country bands). I run mine with a Fender Studio amp (200w all tube late 70's design).

I am envious of your 1x15 and am looking hard at getting one myself, although my woodworking skills preclude a DIY build.

Thanks! I though about building a 2x15. But I figured if I needed more volume I could build a second cab. I bet that thing really thumps!

yes it does, particularly with 200 all tube watts pumping through it. But it is kind of bulky (although not too heavy really - due to the light weight build and the neo Faitals). If I had been thinking a bit more pragmatically when I got the Fender (which is why I ordered the LDS), I would have (should have) had Don do 2 1x15's instead.

Oh well. Life is short.

On another note, how are you liking that GK MB800. Can't quite make out whether it's a Fusion or not. Kind of interested in that amp (MB800 Fusion) myself.

Its the Fusion! Its sounds really good. Its clean and has tons of power. The Streamliner sounds pretty amazing thru it as well!
