My favorite child is growing! Spider content.

Dang, you guys are nuts that own these things. I don't think I could sleep at night knowing one of those was in my house.

This any better? She's cute cuddly, smells like a swamp and likes to bite when she's in a beeatchy mood or hungry:

I bet. For me, it's cool enough that I know someone who owns spiders as big as my hand. I can stop by and have a look all I want.

So do they have any kind of odor?

-Mike

No odor whatsoever. Anything that may come from them would be if their tanks were very moist, the dampness would crate a smell over time maybe. Thankfully, all three of my spiders can handle very dry environments, so their tanks don't need to be kept damp, really.

Combined with the fact that, once they are of a decent size, they can go weeks to months without food, and depending on the spider, weeks without water, makes them a snap to take care of. Mine are all fed and watered regulalry, but if I want to leave for a few days or a week, I fill up the water dishes and go. My reptiles are the same way. The only animal that is a hassle to care for (especially if I want to go on vaction or whatnot) is my cat.

Definitely prefer the spiders in terms of convenience. :D
