My first lay off

if there was only such a union, I’d gladly pay dues fir job protection and fair treatment

Someone earlier asked if I could re-invent myself. I was mystified by this question

My wife & I are looking into forming LLC fit a service business Will Keep y’all posted

Also PTSD? I used to have bad dreams about a portion of my first career as there was so much treachery trauma backstabbing. Took nearly 2 years of retirement before I didn’t “ go to work” every night. Got the job I was just laid off from... dreams stopped

Now they return almost nightly

Depression waxes and wanes ; like a dark cloud inside. Can’t see or tangibly feel it on outside but when it hits like late last night and now it just locks on for a time and I feel lethargic non- motivated and hopeless
I feel for ya, hang in there!

My dilemma is that I turned 65 month after my lay off= nearly unhirable

Here’s the thing, you just have to market yourself the right way and have the right answers to interview questions. So you are 65, you can easily work many more years, and in today’s work climate it’s typical for people to job hop every 3-5 years. If you can offer a solid 5-10 or more years to a company, there’s no reason not to hire you. You need to leverage your value, experience, stability, no paternity leave to worry about... emphasize that you are able and willing to put in some years of service.

Having a job again will be great however 6 months without requires a great deal of catch up especially after this tax season ( got soaked last year and probably soaked a little less this tax season )

As a man of my word Ill dissolve my negativity issues ( looking forward to That!!)

I want another!

I did have a beat up old one before...long gone.

Frankly I like tone of Sunn 1-18VH over 301 but I’ve always felt my 370 deserved her 301
VH is loud n clear onstage as well as 200 ft out and No loss of highs up to D# on G string

Whereas 301 as well the 361 rig may be hard to hear on stage

361 is Loudest 200 Watts I’ve ever heard Saw /heard one in early 70s against 2 stacks on 10 while 361 was on maybe 5

I can’t turn my 371 up too much in the house..it’s too loud for me!

Should say Not for in home use!

My wife was stunned that I came home with tiny Bergantino than 361 I went to buy
Needed repair? Had No tonal palette and mid switch made no difference
Achieved feedback. @ 2 !!!

Loudest amp ever but didn’t want to sink even more $$$ into it

My lower back and hernia repair love the Berg!

long story short and long rant to follow

Ok your stories and suggestions

I’m 63...retired 3 years...

It happened to me 3 times in 36 years in the workforce.
One was more painful than the other two.

I Swear To You...all 3 times, I landed in better places.

It is a shock, be don't fear. The economy is booming better than ever. The unemployment rate is at 3.9%.
I am 75 and got my current job, after a lay off, at 70 when the economy was not nearly as good as it is now. The age bias is not as bad as it used to be.
dust off your resume, get a haircut, and go talk to some head hunters. Good luck and God bless.
