My first rig ...need help with cab selection

My first bass rig:

1. Fender Geddy Lee J-Bass
2. Ampeg B2RE
3. cab: ????????

Thinking about getting two Avatar B212 NEO's ( 600watts each).

Is this too much speaker for the Ampeg B2RE and it's 450watts at 4 ohms?

Would one B212 Neo be more than enough for this amp?

Any other cab configurations you would suggest?

go a head and use two 212's and if thats not enough you'll need more power.

450w into 4 is decent power for most level headed bass players

you may way to try and look at an ampeg svt410. had one for a long time and it was nice until i need something bigger. It would sound great with the ampeg head on top. I played a hartke outta it but my friend has one and plays the old model b2r outta it.

My first rig was an Ampeg B2R with an Ampeg BSE410HLF and it sounded great. Try the BSE410HLF. They compliment each other well and it's a great starter rig.
