My frets are to long!

So I just picked up my GSR 206 today and the frets are over the end and was curious if i could fix them myself. I just need to get rid of just a tiny bit, I have the service plan that'll help me fix it, but i wanted it tonight and was wondering if i could just fix it myself either by filing or moving the whole fret upwards. :help:

A nail file will not do anything to a metal fret. You need a rasp, or a metal file. You can screw your fretboard up by doing it yourself, so I recommend you just return it and get another.

Moving them? If they're poking out over the edge of the fretboard what do you think moving them is going to solve? Is it only poking on one side?

Take it to a qualified tech. It's a simple fix that is not expensive and it can be done in a few minutes.
