Well, I must say that CrashData Guitars does some really nice work!! I wouldn't have thought such clean work possible with the chisel and hammer approach :hmm:

Either that, or Roscoe's sanding guy is an absolute magician!!

The graffiti is a combination of humor and tracking info. "Cheeze Burr Grrr" is a running inside joke from the last Roscoe GTG, and the rest is tracking some non-standard things that I wanted done (J-bass pickups and an oil finish). They wanted to make sure that info did not get lost as the body moved through production.

Oh, how far it has come!! Gard sounded a little less pessimistic today about my chances of picking this up on Monday... it's still unlikely, but it is LESS unlikely today than it was a couple days ago... I'm calling that good news :)

Well, first of all. . . "YOU'RE WELCOME!" :D

That kind of labor doesn't come cheap, but we were happy to lend a hand. Seeing as how you've always admired and respected us--definitely looking up to us as players. :bassist:

We were also pleased with the results. The best of both worlds--CrashClint's concentration and accuracy combined with the brute strength of my arm cannons.

No, no. . . I insist. There's really no need for you to buy each of us a Roscoe to say "thank you" as it's all in a day's work for us. ;)

The sanding guy @ Roscoe (in this case) was a lot like the Maytag repairman. . .

Oh, yes, yes, yes! What atrocious manners I have! THANK YOU, CrashData Guitars!!!

I've got a Ziractoe topped LG and a Bubinga topped LG that you guys can split amongst yourselves. They're not quite done yet, but they should be soon. Personally, I see Clint in the Ziracote and Adam in the Bubinga.

Oh, man, the Gardfather is KILLING me today (in a very good way)!! Looks like my bass has moved from PROBABLY NOT being done on Monday to PROBABLY being done on Monday. Gard is even making dinner plans as we speak :p

He backed up the optimistic outlook with some very tempting photos of the bass together with fret slots just waiting to be fretted. You'll notice that I went with the 100% BEM board, no mineral streaks. They didn't have a streaked board that would keep the streaks away from the body, so I had to make a tough call. On a bass this pretty, I didn't want to risk not loving it. I LOVE this unstreaked look, as I knew I would...

Armor. Soiled.
