Yeah, Houston's gonna be fine. My godson and his cousin came up from Beaumont. Their excuse is "escaping the hurricane", but I think they're just enjoying the break from work and college and coming to visit my son and what-not. Nice to see them, though!!!

We were hoping for some good, drought-breaking rain from Gustav, but it seems that is not to be. Sigh. Maybe next time.

I'm still alive but cable went out so we lost Internet, still have no power web I a friends house cause his ac Id cold, but no cell signal there, waited in line for 3 and a half hours for gas today... Can't wait to leave this place
