I have always loved the high quality you get from Japanese made instruments. And I've owned my share including a Fender Jazz I toured with back in the late 80's. A Fender '62 reissue Jazz Fretless and a Sadowsky Metro. Here are my current Japanese gems. L-R, Fender Boxer, Bacchus DX4 and Crews Maniac Sound Jackson Five Fretless

As good as that Sadowsky was, the Bacchus and Crews are every bit as good as the Metro. And less expensive. Well at least the Bacchus is.

Not to brag, I had an '81 Toyota Tercel. It was a little nicer than a Datsun 210.

Bacchus are fantastic and underrated basses for sure! I have had a Woodline, a Universe Series Jazz, and a Jiro (Glay) model Jazz. Other Japanese basses I owned were a Stingray EX and a Moon JJ4.

Edit: I forgot about the Lakeland Shoreline 44-94.

I had a '84 Tercel followed by a '89 Mitsubishi Eclipse. The last Japanese car I had was a Subaru BRZ. Fun little car!

My experience with Japanese instruments is the Westone Thunder I guitar I picked up a couple years ago. Great guitar (even if the pickups are so hot that I can barely turn my amp up...) I kinda want an Aria or Westone bass but I just have too many basses!

I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a Japanese Fender bass either...

Never thought I'd see a Crews Maniac bass here! They're on the semi-end basses here and are very solid instruments.

My only Japanese bass just happens to be a Fender Precision Lyte. It's a great bass with subtle bass and treble EQ, Jazz width neck, lightweight and excellent ergonomics.

I have a close friend who played a Jazz Bass Special like yours for years and years, playing Clubs and Casinos. Excellent model IMHO.

Very nice collection.
