My lack of bass evolution

Once you’re caught in the bass string web there is no escape. Endless mods, tweaks and upgrades to achieve an elusive sound...All we can do is warn others like us that are tempted to enter too but most likely they will ignore our warnings. The best thing to do is accept your fate and realize resistance is futile. Bwahahaha
Mine comes from spending far too much time on TB, rather than on my damn bass.
I hope to keep it simple.
I'm trying to Keep in mind that I'm on the forum to learn to play the bass , but most importantly to get some help in playing and LEARNING songs.
Now if I can just get some basics down and move onto songs. ( which I hope to start today on my log )
