1) sorry to hear about the divorce...but sometimes it CAN be agood thing...my folks were divorced when I was 9 and they actually became good friends later in life.

2) I am glad to hear you and your daughter have a good relationship....that is worth MILLIONS of $$$$$!

3) (enough of the "touchy feely")....MAN! shoreline gold 44-94! Life does not get sweeter than that!!! congrats!!!

Maybe I should edit out the personal stuff. My life is great - no complaints here. (Well, the economy and job security, but...) It was just the part of my Lakland journey that cost me my first one.

Which is fine - that 44-02 was a little bit dead around the 7th fret on the D string. It was funny, though, acoustically it was fine. I wondered at the time if it had something to do with the electronics, cause I just couldn't hear it unplugged. It sat back in the mix a little, too, but I just figured that I needed time to work that out.

I really meant for this to be a happy "dude finally got a Lakland" thread - cause that's what it is.

That's a beautiful bass and a great story.

FWIW, the Barts are great pickups. If you're happy with them, don't worry about the LH3's. I've spent over a year playing each in my main bass, and I kinda miss the Barts now...
