Luthier behind Futone Guitars
Hi everyone!

Recently I made this bass:

Its a 32'' scale, with a sucupira reclaimed neck, and Kaya mahogany 'wings'.
Its a single pickup and a single volume..

There is a video of its time lapse build:

I guess its a love or hate kind of instrument.
I did do it in the spirit of the Great Guitar Build Off competition so if you like it you can vote for it in the link bellow, and even if this is the only bass in the competition do go check it out there are some really cool builds there!

That’s very cool.
Thanks!
Me before watching that video: "how do folks get such clean lines when building these things?"

After watching the video: "Oh. Tools and an unreasonable amount of patience. I guess that checks out."

That is a cool original design. Would rock.

Thanks!
Yep, patience is one of the luthiers best tools!

Pretty cool and definitely original!
I would have to guess it has Pretty good sustain?
Acoustic instruments , all the magic happens behind the bridge.

Im a bit curious as to what inspired the design?
