Well, Basswood has good growl, mids and warmth. The lows can be smoother than ash and alder and the physical weight of Basswood is pretty damn light. You know me my brother, I am getting old!

It is a Fake... I stole the original and put the one you are getting together last night... I can be pretty handy with wood and things.. you may never even know the difference. .

Great-looking bass. I got to play one last year, and it was the most.. how do I put this.. profound-sounding bass I've ever heard. Just super-deep. It had a Hipshot X-tender, and when I hit that low D, I think there was structural damage and spontaneous bowel movements for miles around.
Oh, and it played awesome, too.

This is one beautiful bass! I have to agree with the quilt being one of the most intense I've ever seen. I get reminded of LSD when I stair at it for to long.
